Cashbook (1853 May-1879 Mar.) and warden's book (1853 Apr.-1879 Nov.), chiefly kept by Warden Francis R. Delano, detailing financial operations, hiring and firing of guards, names of incoming convicts, dates of discharge, and escapes, etc., including notes about the notorious Younger brothers: Thomas Coleman, James, and Rogert Younger, all serving life terms for their part in a Northfield, Minn., bank robbery in 1876; time book reflecting times spent by the prisoners at work (including the Youngers); receipt book; administrative conference minutes (1918-1927); warden's staff meeting minutes (1955-1963); and newspaper clippings, articles, and publications.
